I have tried dual sympathetic SGBs through a national franchise/competitor and had an experience that was nothing short of traumatic. I have also tried it with another doctor twice who provided the treatment but was not trauma-informed or particularly compassionate. Neither experience worked for me. I was really suffering and reached out to several doctors for guidance. I was hoping to find someone who would care about my individual case, which is rather severe and complex. I also had stress-induced chronic neck issues and hoped to find a doctor who could treat that as well. Often PTSI goes with chronic pain, so having a doctor who could address both was my hope. Dr. Lynch was the only doctor who bothered to respond, and I am so thankful for that. He got on a telemedicine call with me, and his patience, empathy, and kindness gave me the strength to make the 9-hr drive and try again.
In person, I was pleased to find that Dr. Lynch was the same- so patient and kind. He really invests in each individual getting to know their story and soothing each fear and silly question in a heartfelt way. As someone who has struggled for an entire lifetime with complex trauma, I truly understand that the way a provider treats you can greatly affect the outcome. I would not trust anyone else to do this procedure. DR. LYNCH IS PART OF THE MEDICINE… he is part life coach and inspirational/ motivational guide, he is a powerful hope-giver and a PTSI guru- a wealth of knowledge, experience, and research. His words, calming presence, compassion, and belief in my healing were a key piece of this procedure for me. He is an incredible doctor and human being. He’s really funny too, just a really likable dude.
Long ago labeled “treatment-resistant” and having tried nearly everything, these treatments helped me in ways that nothing else has and have gotten me to a physiologically better baseline. I honestly still struggle and need other interventions, because my case is so severe but Dr. Lynch was realistic about the fact that this may not fix everything, solving the injury of trauma is a complex puzzle and I would need to do other work to supplement the treatments and make changes in my life. I found this to be very honest and indicated to me that he really understood complex trauma, rather than focusing on a sales pitch.
I have spent decades seeking help of all kinds for CPTSD, and there are very few clinicians who I can honestly say helped me improve my condition and left an indelible impression on me with their understanding and kindness. Dr. Lynch is definitely near the top of that very short list.
Thank you, sir, for what noble things you have done with your life.
Much respect and love, p
